I finished my Masters course last month and am now working on my dissertation – “An anarchist analysis of power” based primarily on the work of Emma Goldman and Rudolf Rocker. More on that later in the year when I have the thing written!
In the meantime, I’ve uploaded the three of my written assessments to Scribd as I think these three are suitable for a wider audience than just the markers.
The three pieces I’ve uploaded are:
- Douglas Rushkoff and the Information Society – critiquing the theories of the Information Society, and related theories, through the work of Douglas Rushkoff
- The enduring relevance of the classical transnational labour movement and the ‘global justice’ movement – tracing the history and the contemporary relevance of the syndicalist period of trade unionism and the anti-globalisation or social justice movement
- Foucault’s new conceptualisation of power – Examining what Foucault brought to the academic understanding of power, highlighted by comparing his work primarily with that of Hannah Arendt
I hope people find them interesting and, of course, if there’s anyone out there who’d like me to write or talk about these topics, please get in touch (particularly if you want to pay me for it!)
